2006 European trip - packing challenge

We are off to Europe Oct 15. Will visit Paris, fly to Budapest, train to Vienna, car to Czech Republic driving through Cesky Krymlov and Karlovy Vary - spa town), ending in Prague, drop off the car , train to Dresden and Berlin Germany.
This is going to be 24 days trip and we are trying to fit into 2 small suitcases and 2 carryons (laptop, phones, some work and books for reading on the plane). Will have to utilize hotel's laundry and wash some clothes overnight. It is mix of business and leisure so we need decent clothes and trying to look like Europeans (well'be used to be them!). We have tickets to 3 Opera performances so need suit (George wears on the flight) and theater dress, We will soak in European thermal springs so we need swimwear. Will need some space for souvenirs. Do not want heavy suitcases to drag in trains. It is warm in Paris now but in November could be snow in Germany.. It is a challenge to pack light.

This blog is posted in chronological order so if you follow our trip, start from this post - packing challenge and read newer posts.
